  • What our schools say

Shenton Primary School serves an international community. Our aim is always to ensure every child succeeds in achieving their very best. We believe that the best way a child can learn is through partnership between teachers, children and parents. We have high expectations for all our children and we aim to provide a high quality learning environment in which children can flourish. Above all we believe that the broad, balanced curriculum we provide will enable children to enjoy school and learn well.

  • What our schools say

At Shenton we adhere to all national and city council legislation. Our school results are strong, and we have consistently achieved at or above National averages in Year 6 for a number of years. We have also been placed in the top 10 of schools in the city, a number of times in terms of the standards the children achieve.

  • What our schools say

"The Attenborough Learning Trust has given me the opportunity to work across other schools. Schools can sometimes be an inward looking environment, so being given the chance to work with others to both support and learn is invaluable. It has helped with the school’s improvement priorities, both for myself and other senior staff who are responsible for different areas."

  • What our schools say

"The family support worker has helped me a lot. Covid made me lose my job and we struggled to keep our home. She helped us get some money and sort a new home. I don’t know what I would have done without her!"

    - Mother of KL Year 1, Sparkenhoe Primary School

  • What our schools say

"It has been good to have support on the end of the phone for any issues we have had. My workload has changed and role has developed due to the school’s Business Manager and the involvement with the ALT. I can always ring someone for advice."

    - Admin team, Sparkenhoe Primary School

  • What our schools say

"As a teacher I have noticed many positive changes from being part of the Attenborough Learning Trust. We have more peer challenge through working with teachers from other schools to moderate work. The Trust has supported the school to make some financial decisions that have meant more resources, some changes to the building and different ways to make our curriculum exciting for the children."

  • What our schools say
